There are a TON of acronyms in affiliate marketing that every good affiliate marketer worth their salt should be familiar with.
And one of those Acronym’s is EPC.
EPC stands for ‘Earnings Per Click’ and it means how much is a click is worth in revenue to an affiliate promoting a product.
It’s mainly an email marketing metric.
A lot of email marketers I know, only really talk in terms of EPC.
How is Earnings Per Click (EPC) Calculated?
EPC is relatively simple metric to understand but it’s also one of the most important.
The formula for Earnings Per Click is as follows:
Revenue (divided by) Clicks.
So, I’ll give you a basic example…
Supposing I sent out a broadcast email to my email subscriber list and 300 subscribers CLICKED the link and I made $1,000 dollars in affiliate commissions, the calculation would look like this:
1000 / 300 = $3.30
That means in this example, every click was worth $3.30.
That is the EPC (earnings per click) number.
…and by the way, this number is very realistic with affiliate marketing.
