If you are currently doing or intend to use Youtube in your affiliate business, then you’re going to need some sort of way to leverage the huge amount of data that Youtube has.
Youtube get’s a TON of searches.
People type in a wide range of keywords into Youtube.
Wouldn’t it be helpful if you had a tool to find out exactly what type of keywords people are searching for?
I recently discovered a keyword tool that does exactly that and it’s designed specifically for Youtube!
It’s called Tube Atlas.
It’s a nifty little tool created by Dave Guindon.
Dave was the first person I ever purchased a software tool from years ago.
It was called “exit splash”.
This was just an exit popup.
These days there are 100’s of tools that do this, but at the at the time you’d normally have to hire a developer and have it created you.
Dave basically eliminated that with his exit splash tool
I reckon I made hundreds of dollars in extra affiliate commissions due to that tool, probably thousands of dollars.
And I’ve been a fan of Dave Guindon ever since.
So when I stumbled across Tube Atlas, I bought it without hesitation.
What Tube Atlas Does
Tube Atlas is more than just a Youtube Keyword tool.
It has range of other features built into it, but for this article, I’m just going to focus purely on the keyword research part of it.
Tube Atlas is a desktop application.
It’s NOT cloud based.
The advantage of it being a Desktop application is that nobody can snoop on your research.
Eg: You find a keyword that’s pure gold, only you will know you’ve found it.
So with that being said, once you download and install the software (very easy I installed it from start to finish in less than 3 minutes!)
How To Install The Tube Atlas Youtube Keyword Tool On Your Desktop
All you need to do is follow the on screen instructions.
Once you’ve installed the Tube Atlas keyword tool on your desktop, you’ll be presented with a screen that looks like this:
As you can see, it’s a pretty neat looking tool.
There are several columns.
I’m going to run through them now…
1. Rank
This is based on Youtube’s Auto-Complete algorithm.
And how close the keyword is to the “seed” keyword.
By “seed” keyword, I mean the keyword you actually typed into the keyword tool.
In this example, the “seed” keyword is “MARKETING”.
And obviously, this has rank of 1.
The next closest search term on youtube related to “marketing” that people search for is “MARKETING STRATEGIES”.
That has a Youtube importance rank of 2.
And so on.
It’s very simple to understand.
2. Word Count
This is self explanatory, it just means how many words are in the keyword term.
4. “Monthly Searches”
Most keyword tools out there will only show you the search count for keywords that are typed into the Google search engine.
There is no other keyword tool that I know of, that will give you extremely accurate keyword search volume for you Youtube.
Tube Atlas is the only tool that I’m aware of that will do it.
Understanding Keyword Competition On Youtube
Keyword Competition on Youtube is a bit different to Keyword Competition on Google.
Keyword competition for Youtube is measured by how many videos there are on a topic.
On Google it’s based on how many pages there are.
But also, on youtube more specific keyword phrases, like longtail keyword phrases, are much more competitive (generally speaking) than on Google.
That’s because people tend to be ultra specific about what they want to find on Youtube.
Also if you’re a fan of Pay Per Click (PPC) Tube Atlas will also give you a pretty good estimate for what you’d expect to pay using Youtube Ads if you bid on certain keywords.
As you can see from the screenshot below, if I wanted to run youtube ads and bidded on the term “marketing Plan”, Tube Atlas is suggesting that I should expect to pay about $5.91 per click.
I’d say that’s about right, because the “marketing” niche is ultra competitive.
What else does Tube Atlas Do?
Besides keyword research which is it’s most powerful feature and the reason why I covered it in this post, TubeAtlas has 11 MORE very useful tools built into it:
==> It has some very cool features that you can check out here.
Tags Finder
If you’re not using Tags on Youtube you’re missing out on a whole bunch of free traffic.
If you use the right youtube tags that people are actually searching for, your video will rank in the top 3 spots on youtube just by using tags alone!
Tube Atlas will find all the tags on ANY topic so that you can use them in your own videos.
Youtube Video to Text Converter
With TubeAtlas you can convert any video you choose to text in less than 1 minute.
Here’s how it works:
Once you’ve converted ythe video to text, you can then export the text and use it for articles and blog posts.
You can use this on as many videos as you like, currently there are no limits.
Comment Analyser
One of my favorite ways to uncover hidden niches is by reading the comments on videos.
I once uncovered a super hot niche within the bodybuilding niche by reading the comments.
While that method works well, it’s time consuming as some Youtube videos have thousands of comments.
With the built-in comment analyser, you can search through the comments and even extract them in minutes instead of hours and get straight to the gold!
Here’s how it works:
These are just a few of the features Tube Atlas has.
If you’re looking for a youtube keyword tool or you just want to dig deeper and uncover untapped niches, then I highly recommend TubeAtlas!
It’s going to save you a TON of time and it’s a very good tool to have at your disposal.
In fact, it’s the best youtube keyword tool I’ve found!
