Good Web Hosts For Affiliate Websites…and ones to avoid.

A lot of questions I see from my subscribers are about webhosting and hosting their affiliate websites.

What do most affiliates use to host their websites?

If you’re serious about affiliate marketing, if you go to Google there are a whole bunch of web hosts that you can choose from.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of them.

WATCH:

Some are good, some are bad…some you should plain avoid.

In this blog post, I’m going to list out the ones that I have personally used and I can vouch for as solid web hosts, good web hosts, that have good support, good uptime.

And I’m also going to, not list them out as it’s not my style to badmouth other people’s companies, but I’m going to tell you the type of web hosting that you want to stay away from.

So I’m gonna start with the ones that I use and the ones that I find to be really good.

BigScoots

The first one is BigScoots, that’s bigscoots.com. They are superb web hosts.

They are one of the first web hosts that I started hosting my websites with, when I first started out in affiliate marketing.

Their support is really good.

Those guys will bend over backwards for you. And that’s one of the most important things that you’ve got to look for in a web host is having good support people, good support guys.

So that if you get a problem (which you will), you can reach out to them and they’re gonna respond to you really quickly. So bigscoots, I highly recommend.

They’re pricing is very good aswell:

SiteGround

The second one that I highly recommend is Siteground.

That’s www.siteground.com They are who I use right now.

The website that you’re on here, Sitenineaffiliate.com, my website ,this is hosted on Siteground.

Siteground are very good for me.

You’ll hear a lot of buzz words as you spend more and more time in Affiliate Marketing and one of those words when it comes to webhosting is “cPanel”.

cPanel is just an interface or “control Panel” within your hosting account that lets you manage your website.

You should always look for a host that has cPanel.

Trust me, it will save you a lot of pain down the line.

If they don’t have some form of cPanel, walk away.

Well, with Siteground, they have a really good cPanel which they built themselves.

It’s just so easy to use and so well organized.

On other webhosts cPanel can be a little bit confusing to look at and work with, but with siteground, they have their own, they built their own and it’s absolutely fantastic.

Very well priced as well.

As you can see you can get web hosting for about 15 bucks a month from siteground, or perhaps even less than less than 15 bucks a month.

So I highly recommend that you go in and check them out.

They’re really good and solid.

GlowHost

The third one and final one that I’m going to recommend that I’ve used in the past and I’ve used very well, is Glowhost.com.

Glowhost are a budget host, so if you’re on a really tight budget just starting out and not a lot of money to spend, they have really good plans for you to go and get your website hosted with.

You can get hosting from Glowhost for 5 bucks a month, something like that.

So it’s very good, very cheap. I can’t recommend them strongly enough.

So they’re the web hosts that I’ve used in the past and I found to be really, really good for me and will work for you aswell.

I highly recommend any one of those, so you can go and check them out.

Here’s the type of hosting that you should stay away from.

The following are examples of bad hosting…

There will be exceptions to that rule, but this is in general the type of hosting that you need to avoid...

Anything that’s $1 hosting, $1 or $2 hosting, avoid those kind of webhosts.

They’re gonna give you nothing but trouble. I’ve made that mistake. I’ve been down that rabbit hole.

And for $1 a month, or $2 a month, they can’t really afford to support it very well.

Their servers are usually shared and over sold servers.

What I mean by “over sold” shared service, they go and rent their servers from another company, who rent their servers to 100 other people just like them.

So what you end up with is thousands of thousands and thousands of websites all sharing the same server.

So anything that’s $1, $2 a month hosting, stay away from that.

There will be exceptions to that rule but they are few and far between.

Another thing to stay away from is anything that guarantees you unlimited usage and things like that.

They’re probably going to be useless, especially if it’s $1, $2/month and they’re giving you unlimited bandwidth, unlimited usage? I don’t think so.

You just need to apply a bit of logic here. How can somebody provide a good service that’s unlimited for $1, $2 a month? It doesn’t make sense. The bottom line is they can’t.

So avoid anything that is extremely cheap over the top promises.

If something is too good to be true, then it usually is.

Here’s a tip that will help with choosing a good webhost..

What I like to do when I’m choosing a web host is I like to test drive their support.

What’s their support like?

Support is so important in your business.

Because the last thing you want to happen to you, if you have a problem with your website, your website goes down and you need some help and they take two or three days to respond to you.

Stay away from any web host that takes too long to respond.

So what I like to do to test drive it is get on their live chat, see how responsive they are, see how helpful they are, just ask them a few questions to see if anyone’s around they can reach out to.

If it’s a support ticket based, send them an email, send them a support ticket, just see how quickly they respond to you.

If they take more than 24 hours to reply to you (even at weekends), they’re probably a web host that you want to stay away from.

If there’s one big takeaway that I can give you is you want to find a web host, that’s going to be around 10-15 bucks a month, and with good support.

Like those three websites that I mentioned at the top of this blog post, any one of those, they are web hosts that I’ve used in the past.

I know that they’re solid, reputable companies, they’ve been around a long time.

I recommend that you go and check out any of those that I listed, and you’re good to go.
