Are you a lifestyle blogger looking to make additional income through Affiliate marketing?
I’m guessing it would probably be pretty helpful to you, if you knew what sort of affiliate programs are out there for lifestyle bloggers like yourself?…
So with that in mind, I’ve rounded up 5 of the best Affiliate programs for Lifestyle bloggers I’ve found.
1. Amazon
As much as I don’t like promoting affiliate products offered by the amazon affiliate program for all the reasons I mention here.
Amazon could still be a great option if you’re a lifestyle blogger, simply because there are endless opportunities.
I’ll warn you though…
Amazon’s Affiliate program doesn’t pay much, on average just about 5% – 8%.
And 8% commission is the TOP end by the way.
But on the plus side, anybody who ends up on amazon, usually buy at least something, in fact the average transactions per visit on amazon is around $60 per visitor.
In fact Amazon makes around $4,722 PER second. (Source)
So you can bet the farm, that Amazon’s website is optimized to convert.
So if you send a visitor there, they are almost guaranteed to spend money.
The downside is, they just don’t pay very much to affiliates.
What categories can you promote on Amazon if you’re a Lifestyle blogger?
Let’s take a look…
As you can see, there is a TON of categories you can promote products in if you’re a lifestyle blogger!
And if I click on the “Garden & Outdoor” category, I get even MORE options:
Now, if I click “Grills & Outdoor Cooking” these are a few products you could promote on your lifestyle blog:
And don’t forget, this is just ONE category.
So, although I’m not a fan of Amazon’s commission structure, they shouldn’t be completely ruled out. You can sign up to Amazon’s Affiliate Program here.
2. Share a Sale
Share a sale is another source of affiliate products you can promote on your lifestyle blog.
They have a wide range of products and like amazon, they have a lot of categories.
For example, in the “Sports & Fitness” category alone they have 231 products:
And an interesting product a found that would fit a Lifestyle blog is this Yoga product:
As you can see, you an Average sale is worth $231 and sharesale will pay you a percentage (known as a commission) of that.
There are loads of products just like that on shareasale.
And like amazon, Shareasale is free to join and you can sign up here.
3. Just Eat
Just Eat are a UK home food delivery service.
People can download the Just Eat App and choose from a wide range of local Takeaway shops and order food directly to their homes.
They process over 2M orders per month and guess what?…
Just Eat have an affiliate program!
So think: Busy mums, Work From Home Types…etc..etc..
If your blog has an audience that caters to that market, then Just Eat might just be an option for you. You can find out more about the Just Eat affiliate program here.
4. Booking.com
Travel and City Breaks are a booming market.
Individuals and families are always looking for get-away breaks.
So a Hotel affiliate program might be an interesting option for a lifestyle blog.
And one of the bigness short break websites on the Internet, Booking.com, have an affiliate program.
So whenever someone makes a booking through your referral link, you’ll make some money.
How much you make depends on the value of the booking itself.
5. SkyScanner
This is similar to a Car Insurance Comparison site, but with a difference…
Sky Scanner is for Flights and Car Hire.
So, people use the site to find the best deals on Air flights and Car Hire.
The good thing about Sky Scanner is, they pay 20% commissions and these type’s of comparison websites usually convert very well, because people who use them are usually in a hot “buying mode”.
They want to find the best deal for Air Flights and they’re ready to buy, or extremely close to buying.
The bad thing is, this is a hyper competitive space…but if you already have an audience who might be interested in flights and car hire, it’s a really easy thing to make money from as an affiliate.
To Wrap Up…
Those were my TOP 5 favorite affiliate programs for Lifestyle bloggers, of course there are many more, but the ones I’ve listed here I think would be the easiest for Lifestyle bloggers to make money from.
If I had to choose one of them, I’d probably choose Amazon, purely for the sheer range of products and categories available to promote.
