Affiliate marketing can be a frustrating game for most.
Finding places we can promote our affiliate links can be tough.
The best places to post affiliate links for near immediate exposure are TikTok, Youtube, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, Facebook, Quora and Blogs.
I’m going to cover each one in this blog post.
TikTok
TikTok is growing really fast right now.
Getting followers is pretty easy aswell, check out this guy:
TikTok as of writing this post, has 500 Million users, and they allow affiliate links to be placed in your bio.
However, for the link to be clickable on TikTok, you need a business account, which is free by the way.
TikTok isn’t really my sort of thing as I don’t like to be on camera and I’m not convinced their user base is who I want to target.
TikToks user base is primarily people under 25 and they are there to be entertained rather than click links and buy stuff.
All that being said, I’ve seen others have serious success with tikTok.
The thing with TikTok is, all you need is your phone and if you check out the sort of content on TikTok, it’s all pretty basic but it get’s eaten up like candy by it’s user base.
This is the type of content that does well on Tiktok:
As you can see, TikToks user base is younger generation.
I think that with the right type of product, you could potentially make affiliate sales, I’m just not entirely convinced by it.
Youtube
Think of Youtube as TikToks older brother.
Youtube is an old head and has been around for over 15 years.
It’s also the second most visited Search Engine and they reportedly have over 1.5 Billion logged in users every single month.
Check out this Youtube Video:
This lady is selling Handbags as an affiliate.
This video has been viewed over 17,000 times and look at the affiliate link placement.
Those are all affiliate links and I bet she get’s a few clicks!
Next up is…
Instagram is owned by Facebook and they have over 1 Billion Active users. mostly in the 20 – 35 year old age range, according to Statista:
You can also add affiliate links to Instagram aswell:
Instagram works really well if you’re an affiliate in any fitness or lifestyle Niche.
Not so well in any Make Money Online / businesses niches.
I’m not entirely sure why.
Some platforms work better than others for certain markets, so it’s important that you choose the right platform for your niche.
Twitter has been around for years and it’s one of my favorite platforms.
I find Twitter less distracting, less crowded and generally a better quality of user than some of the other platforms.
The trick with Twitter is to be active and like and retweet.
And you can use affiliate links relatively freely.
You can share them in tweets and add them in your twitter bio.
Even Lil’Wayne is an affiliate marketer!
Don’t believe me?…
Here’s his Twitter bio complete with an Affiliate Link:
Reddit is old school, but it’s one of my favorite social media platforms, although I don’t use it for business so much.
Whilst you can share links on Reddit, you need to be careful when doing it because Reddit users are no mugs and one thing they hate, is self promotion.
I’ve been on Reddit for over a decade and one thing that I’ve seen hold true, is that self promoters tend to get downvoted to hell. (Reddits version of being kicked out of the ‘cool gang’ at School).
So be careful as it’s pretty easy to get booted off their platform.
I outline an entire Reddit traffic strategy here that you can use for affiliate marketing.
Facebook is still the leader of the pack in a lot of ways and is still by a long way, the most popular Social media platform on the Internet and it’s not going to change any time soon.
The good thing about Facebook, is there a whole plethora of ways to get your affiliate link in front of eyballs.
One of the most popular ways, is via your personal page header, like this, here’s mine:
That link can go anywhere I want.
It can be a straight up link to my own website, like it is in this case, or it can be affiliate link for any product you choose.
The thing with facebook, is to be active in groups and a certain percentage of those people will view your profile and engage with you and that usually means a lot of link clicks!
Quora
Quora is another favorite of mine.
The Quora platform has over 300 Million monthly users.
And it’s a website where the general public can sign up to and ask any questions they want and get answers from other Quora users.
Quora is free to sign up and anyone can ask or answer questions.
This presents opportunities for us as affiliate marketers.
For example, if somebody as: “How to make money with clickbank”, we could give an informative answer with a link to either an affiliate product or our own website.
I have already written an article on how to make money with clickbank here, so if I saw somebody ask that question, I could easily go and answer it with a link back to my blog post.
All you need to do is search for your topic (ideally a topic you’re an affiliate for) find the most popular questions and go and answer them.
Like this:
As you can see, Quora is very simple to use, but very powerful.

Blogging
Blogging is my absolute number ONE and favourite ways to share my affiliate links.
With a blog, I can write about what I’m most passionate about, which happens to be affiliate marketing and I can share my content with the world.
The problem with some of the other platforms I’ve mentioned in this post, is really, you’re effectively relying on other platforms to keep your business online.
Whilst those platforms have loads traffic you can quickly tap into, you’re also at their mercy if they decide to suspend or shut your account.
However, with a blog, you OWN that property, it’s yours.
And guess what, you can get a TON of free traffic from Google aswell if you do it right.
If blogging interests you (and if you want my opinion) it should do, then I recommend this blogging course below.
It’s a few years old now, but it’s still as relevant now as it was when it was first released:
